Intimate partner abuse is something that I have witnessed and experienced from an early age. I know firsthand the effect abuse has on the mind, body, and spirit. From witnessing abuse as a child, being an abuser, and being abused I have seen abuse in many shapes and forms from different perspectives.

Through receiving counsel, extensive research, and self-reflection I have explored many ways abuse should be treated. However, something was lacking from traditional counseling and reflection. I needed something more tangible, something more concrete to help me change my mindset and most importantly my behavior patterns.

In figuring out a system to fight abuse for myself, it dawned on me that other people could use this system too. I thought about the number of women suffering in physically abusive relationships, the number of children experiencing abuse at home, and the number of men incarcerated and unemployed because of abuse. I decided to write Toxic Love to try and make a difference in their lives by helping them take control their circumstances to overcome abuse.

I hope this book will help save someone’s life from abuse and pave a future with healthier, happier relationships and a greater sense of urgency to stop abuse in its tracks.
